Sam Ellison is a camera operator and director based in New York City. He was nominated for the SOC’s Camera Operator of the Year Award for his work on A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019).
Sam’s recent camera credits include work on I Know This Much is True (2020), Academy Award winner Manchester By The Sea (2016), Luce (2019), Vox Lux (2018), and the television series Strangers (2018).
His debut feature documentary, Chèche Lavi (Looking for Life), premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2019, and has since played at more than 30 festivals around the world.
