About Me

At the moment Doug is at home surviving quarantine with a brand new baby girl. 2019 was a busy year between shooting 2nd unit on Euphoria, filming J Blakeson’s I Care A Lot for Blackbear Pictures, and for HBO Max Unpregnant - directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg. Both features are in post at the moment. Sorry To Bother You, written & directed by Boots Riley, premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for Gotham Awards and won at the Indie Spirit Awards. Most of 2018 was spent in New York City shooting season 1 of the dark thriller Tell Me A Story from CBS All Access. Doug photographed the second season of HBO's Room 104 at the end of 2017. A Duplass Brothers original series, Room 104 presented Emmett with the unique challenge of shooting 24 half-hour episodes all in one hotel room. ICG Magazine featured Room 104 in their 2017 September issue. In addition to the feature work last year, Doug shot the latest Old Spice campaign and the throwback 80’s video to Weezer’s cover of Aha’s Take on Me.
The East Coast native, a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, has had multiple screenings at Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca, and Cannes film festivals, collectively showcasing his distinct visual language and collaborative dexterity. Emmett is a Union Local 600 cinematographer and a member of the Directors Guild of America, with the ability to work bi-coastally and is represented by United Talent Agency.
