David Nickoll is a Showrunner, Writer, Producer, Director and Speechwriter. Most recently, he was the Executive Producer of "Fair Game with Kristine Leahy" on FS1. He spent 4 years as Executive Producer, NFL Now and Alternative Programming for the NFL Network. Other credits include Head Writer for Comedy Central’s “@Midnight with Chris Hardwick” and Head Writer for the nationally syndicated “The Queen Latifah Show” (Sony/CBS).
He was the writer/director of “Kid Stew,” a half hour sketch pilot he co-created with author James Patterson. He was the Creator/ Executive Producer of “The Zach Fox Project,” a half-hour pilot for Disney XD, the Executive Producer of digital series “The Tweekly News” on My Damn Channel and the Co-Executive Producer of “Tiny Tonight” on VH-1.
He was the Co-Creator and Executive Producer of “Overloaded with Michael Kosta,” a pilot for Comedy Central. He served as the Showrunner/ Executive Producer of the weekly series “Infomania” on Current TV. Prior to that, he was the Showrunner/Co-Executive Producer of “The Aisha Tyler Show,” a talk show pilot for ABC.
David was the Head Writer for CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” Prior to Ferguson, David was a Writer and Segment Producer/Director for “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” from 1999-2004.
David spent two seasons as a Creative Consultant to The Harlem Globetrotters; he wrote comedy for the team’s touring show and penned their ESPN2 television special.
David was a Writer/Producer on Comedy Central’s “Chocolate News” starring David Alan Grier. He was the Executive Producer of “Daytime in No Time,” a daily web series on Yahoo! He has developed shows for Comedy Central, Bravo, VH-1 and CBS.
David was selected for the Sundance Institute’s Mark Silverman Fellowship for New Producers, which afforded him the opportunity to work on BOOGIE NIGHTS. He also produced the independent feature ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES starring Amanda Peet.
David began his career as at “Saturday Night Live” where he worked on the show’s commercial parodies and remotes.
David is a member of AFTRA/SAG, DGA, and WGA, and a Founding Board Member of the Williamstown Film Festival. He serves on the Board of the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, the Alumni Board of Harvard-Westlake School and Board Chair of the Los Angeles Leadership Academy, an LAUSD K-12 Charter school. David lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
